Azhar is a successful entrepreneur, operator and investor with over 20 years of experience investing and building businesses. Azhar has a track record of success in private equity and special situations investing and his experience spans the gamut from sourcing, transaction execution, value creation and exit. Prior to founding Queens Court, Azhar worked at firms such as Advent Capital, Perry Capital, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. Throughout his career Azhar has been a successful private markets investor across a variety of industries. Azhar served as Chairman of the HairCuttery Family of Brands, VCG Holdings, and is currently the Chairman of Pet Resort Hospitality Group. Azhar was also part of the founding team of Convene, an Inc 500 real estate services business.
Azhar is a graduate of Columbia University where he received a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics as well as Columbia Business School where he received his M.B.A.
Mayur is an experienced investor across special situations, private equity, and distressed investments. Prior to Queens Court, he served as a portfolio manager at Lord Abbett, coheading Special Situations investments, and led the private equity practice at Tricadia Capital Management. Previously he was at BlueMountain Capital and Deutsche Bank Securities specializing in performing and distressed investments.
Mayur holds degrees in Computer Science and Finance from Cornell University, as well as an MBA from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his financial expertise, Mayur has served on the Board of Directors for Washington Mutual Holdings Inc., Frontera Energy, FS Card, SFOX, and the NY Civil Liberties Union (NY ACLU).
Ankit is an experienced investment professional with >$4B in investing experience across the capital structure, including in senior debt, mezzanine, and equity securities in the middle-market across industries. Prior to joining Queens Court, Ankit held various positions at firms including H.I.G. Capital, Comvest Partners, and PGIM Private Capital. In addition, Ankit has entrepreneurial experiences in building “zero-to-one” for profit and non-profit organizations at the founder level, specifically in building various D2C brands. As an operator, Ankit has been heavily involved in strategically and operationally growing companies, including currently building various platforms in the Mental Health, Pet Hospitality, and Allergy Sinus industries at the management level.
Ankit received his Bachelor of Business Administration at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Paulina Ferrari is a skilled private equity associate specializing in due diligence, investment thesis development, and transaction execution. She brings a depth of experience from her role as an associate at HG, where she focused on middle-market investments, and from her prior work as an investment banking analyst at UBS.
Paulina earned her B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University, where she was also a dedicated member of the Varsity Women’s Tennis Team. Her analytical rigor and commitment to excellence drive her to deliver high-quality investment insights and support for each transaction.
Zaid Nesheiwat is an operating partner and advisor with deep experience transforming industrial and infrastructure businesses across the U.S. and internationally. He has supported investors and leadership teams through complex operational challenges, helping scale businesses, improve margins, and unlock long-term enterprise value. Zaid began his career at General Electric, where he held operational and leadership roles across GE Power & Water, GE Oil & Gas, GE Aviation, and GE Corporate—gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics, and M&A support. He later joined KPS Capital Partners and ORIX Capital Partners, where he played a key role in value creation across dozens of portfolio companies ranging from $10M to $300M+ in EBITDA. His work spans sectors such as specialty manufacturing, infrastructure services, and industrials, with initiatives that have driven measurable impact: multimillion-dollar cost reductions, procurement transformations, fleet and facility optimization, workforce engagement, and post-merger integration.
